Streit Perham

Students relax and study in a Streit Perham common area

Streit/Perham Hall, located across the street from Beasley Coliseum on the north side of campus, is an active and engaging hall that encourages its students to live a balanced lifestyle.

Many students enjoy the location of Streit/Perham since it is close to the SRC and athletic facilities. The building theme is wellness, and a portion of the hall programming focuses on living healthy lifestyles. Streit/Perham also offers free nightly tutoring, study groups and First Year Focus classes. Residents who  purchase a parking pass have ample parking nearby.

  • Move In Information

Move In Information for Streit/Perham Hall

Traffic is more challenging on the north side of campus during move-in so cars will be directed into queuing lines and will be released as active unloading zones become available for each hall. Portable toilets and water bottles are available while waiting. Line wait times can range from a few minutes to 20 minutes.

Drive to the Yellow parking lot South of Beasley Coliseum and let the attendants know what hall you are moving into so you get in the correct car queue line.

When instructed, drive to your assigned hall and look for the parking attendant and temporary parking signage directing you to an active unloading zone.

Students should enter through the hall's main entrance and check in with their CougarCard/photo ID at the front desk. Sign up for a cart if you need one or look for move-in volunteers.

As soon as you are done actively unloading, you must move your vehicle to the gray parking lot behind Beasley Coliseum to make room for others. Parking staff will be on site to assist you with directions.

Extra recycling containers are brought in specifically for move-in. Please pay attention to where you are disposing of garbage versus recycling.

For hanging items on your walls in Streit/Perham please use blue painters tape for posters, and 3M Command strips to hang pictures. If you use 3M Command strips, please do not remove the strips; our staff will remove them over the summer if the room needs to be painted. Do not use double-sided mounting products, permanent mounting products, blue mounting putty, tacks or push pins, masking tape, or duct tape. Streit/Perham has several walls with wall carpeting; please use tacks and pins on these walls, never use 3M Command strips.

Words of Wisdom from past students and parents

Rooms are smaller than you think. Spend some time looking at the photos and room dimensions and be realistic with what will fit.

Review what you can’t bring – the list is specific for each hall.
