Housing and Residential Life
Apply for Housing
You can apply for a Residence Hall room, a Single Student Apartment (shared 2, 3, & 4 bedroom apartments) or for Family and Graduate Apartments by choosing the correct application at the right. By logging in to the Single Student Apartment Application, you can also use the SSA bulletin board to find roommates!
Our online applications are more than an application! At anytime you can login and manage your current contract, view your current room/apartment assignment, view your application status, find roommates and more!
Unsure of the type of housing you want?
When you are ready to apply, update or view an offer; select your application choice from the list at the right.
Reapplying to Live in the Residence Halls?
If you are a current resident planning to live in the residence halls next year, be sure to check your WSU email for important information about the priority process. A quick overview of the room reapplication process is provided here, but please be sure to be in communication with the RED of the hall you’re interested in calling home next year.
Most new students do not have a roommate chosen, so assignments are provided. The Housing and Dining Application asks students to answer questions that will help with assignment of both hall and roommates. To room together, students must request each other as roommates.
When requesting a roommate, your Residence Hall Housing Application should be completed requesting the same priorities in hall choices; if students select different halls, or answer the application questions on smoking and drinking differently, roommate requests may be blocked by our assignment program.
Whether you are living in a Residence Hall or an Apartment, our new Roommate Finder application can help you find a roommate who shares your living preferences. Click the button to give it a try!
Although we try to honor all mutual roommate requests, space does not permit us to fill all of them. Assignments are made in application date order, so we encourage students who wish to be roommates to apply at the same time.
