Auxiliary Facility Services keep our residence halls and on campus apartments running smoothly. Positions include flexible day shifts and work during the summer and academic year. Apply on Handshake.
Residence Hall Weekend & Weekday
2-6-hour flexible day shifts working in the residence halls. Work must be completed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
August-May (Academic year)
Typical Job Duties:
- Performing safety checks and reporting safety problems.
- Restocking paper towels, toilet paper and soap in restrooms.
- Emptying all common space trash, vacuuming, sweeping as needed.
- Sanitizing bathrooms and high touched areas.
- Snow and ice removal from walkways in inclement weather.
- Cleaning lobbies and entranceways.
Residence Hall Summer
2-8-hour Flexible Day shifts – typically between 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
May – August (Start of summer to start of fall semester)
*Winter break work may be available for those who work Summer
Residence Halls Duties:
- Deep cleaning residence hall rooms, all public areas; kitchens, lounges, laundry rooms, stairs, hallways, entrances, and lobbies.
- Buildings with summer conferences: turning over rooms, including making beds and processing linens.
WSU Apartment Duties:
- Cleaning apartments, kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, halls and bathrooms.
Dining Center Service Worker
4-hour shift 8:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. 7 days a week
August – May (Academic year)
*Limited summer work for spring employees
Typical Job Duties:
- Carry out various cleaning duties to maintain the daily operations of the Campus Dining Facilities.
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and using specialty cleaning machinery throughout the entirety of the Dining Halls.
