Scott/Coman Hall, located on the north side of campus, is a co-ed community of nearly 300 students. Students living in Scott/Coman Hall can live and learn together in a safe community to develop leadership skills and refine academic focus.

FAQ

  • What common spaces are available?
    • There is one full kitchen, with microwave, oven, refrigerator and sink, on second floor in each building in the lounge.
    • Every floor has a microwave in the laundry room. 
    • The hall has a pool table, a Foosball table, two pianos, and two TV lounges.
    • Two 24 hour quiet study lounges located on the first floor of each hall that students can use to do homework or reserve for study groups.  

  • Is there additional storage available?
    • There is one small room off the lobby in each building for storage.
    • Bikes can be stored under Regents inside a cage and on wall-mounted racks.

  • What are furniture specifications?

    Beds

    • Bed frames are 85"L x 38"W.
    • Mattresses are 80"L x 36"W. Extra long sheets with deep pockets work best.
    • Bed risers can be used to gain additional storage.
    • Beds can be lofted or bunked with provided supplies. Kits must be stored in rooms when not in use.
    • Maximum space under the bed is 56 ¾" when lofted and 31" when unlofted.

    Dressers

    • 42"H x 24"D with eight drawers.
    • Dressers are attached to one another.

    Desks

    • 42"W x 24"D with one small drawer
    • Includes a mobile pedestal with one drawer and one file drawer.

  • What are room specifications?
    • Double rooms are 13'8"W x 14'7"L.
    • Single rooms are 14'7"W x 8'4"L.
    • Windows are 13'W x 3'1"H.
    • Closets are 88"H x 81"W x 2'D.
    • Each room has a mirror above a dresser unit between the closets. 
    • Four sets of outlets in each room.
    • Rooms are carpeted.
    • Microwaves are not permitted, but mini- or microfridges are.

  • What laundry facilities are available?

    Every floor in Scott/Coman has a front-loading washer and dryer for residents' use. The fee to use them is included in your housing and dining bill.
